120 days until the year's biggest air show
01.05.2024

Attention aviation enthusiasts! Mark your calendars for an exhilarating weekend as the Kuchyňa-Malacky Air Base opens its gates for the Slovak International Air Fest. Event is scheduled for August 31st and September 1st, 2024.

The countdown has begun! Only 120 days remain until the 14th edition of the International Air Days SIAF 2024 at Kuchyňa Airport - Malacky Air Base. This year’s SIAF will celebrate significant anniversaries and the christening of the F-16 Block 70 fighter jet. The action-packed program will also feature the Polygon for dynamic ground equipment demonstrations.

"The focus of SIAF 2024 will primarily commemorate the 80th anniversary of the Slovak National Uprising, the 20th anniversary of Slovakia's entry into the European Union and NATO, and the 75th anniversary of NATO’s founding," reports Hubert Štoksa, CEO of MLD SIAF and director of the Slovak Aviation Agency.

This year’s event aims to contribute to the dignified and grand celebrations of these significant historical milestones in the history of the Slovak Republic.

"Enhancing the International Air Festival SIAF 2024 will be our new significant partner, the Ministry of Interior of the Slovak Republic, which will participate with dynamic and static displays of the capabilities of the slovak police corps, fire and rescue corps, integrated rescue system and Ministry of Interior Aviation," adds Štoksa.

We can once again look forward to a dynamic presentation of the capabilities of the Armed Forces of the Slovak Republic. The Dynamic Polygon will for the second time showcase dynamic demonstrations of ground technology. Flight and static displays of aircraft technology will be conducted by the invited air forces of NATO countries. The program will also feature a fly-past by a combined group of the Slovak Armed Forces and fleet  of the Ministry of Interior of the Slovak Republic.

A significant milestone will be the arrival of the new F-16 Block 70 fighter jets into the ranks of the SR Air Forces, which the Ministry of Defense of the SR, as the main program partner, plans to showcase at this year’s SIAF. The upcoming 14th edition of the international air festival will also include a side program aimed at young aviation enthusiasts.
