A unique banknote to celebrate 100th Anniversary of the Czechoslovak Aviation
International Aviation Days SIAF 2018 will belong to the biggest events to celebrate an important anniversary – 100 years of the Czechoslovak Aviation. The whole atmosphere will be emphasized not only by varied offer of dynamic and static displays, participation of important persons of aviation life in Slovakia and the Czech Republic, but also by a rich choice of attractions. On this occasion the main organizer the Slovak Aviation Agency will introduce a souvenir not often seen. A lot of collectors or visitors are given a chance to enrich their collection with a unique Euro banknote with a picture of the former pride of the Czechoslovak Aviation – the aerobatic group Biele Albatrosy.
On the eve of MLD SIAF (Friday, 31 August) the traditional awarding of outstanding persons of aviation will not be missing. The enquiry Golden Wings is mapping 100 years of the Czechoslovak Aviation and will award outstanding persons and feats in aviation. In addition, authorities and academics will be given space to present themselves within the 13th year of the International Scientific Conference focused on new trends in aviation development. The sale of the banknote is to launch International Air Fest Days SIAF 2018 at the first weekenf of September (1-2 September).
“We were trying to find something exceptional to identify the Czechoslovak Aviation. The Euro banknote with the view of the High Tatras and the aerobatic team Biele Albatrosy which represented the Czechoslovak Aviation at home and abroad will be a symbol of this important holiday“, says Director of MLD SIAF Hubert Štoksa.
The organizers are disclosing that it will have been the biggest circulation of unique banknotes ever. One visitor is allowed to by up 5 pieces of this banknote at designated places at Sliač Airport, the price of a banknote is 2.50€. After the biggest aviation event in Slovakia ends the sale of this banknote will be made by SIAF on-line shop and the puplic will be informed by the organizer.
“On the occasion of the 100th jubilee of the Czechoslovak Aviation on Saturday, 1 September the public enquiry about the best static and dynamic display of aviation days will be introduced. Attractive prizes are prepared for visitors participating. As usual, the best participant of International Air Fest Days will be awarded at the end of the event by the extraordinary trophy Best display Smik Trophy, “ says Hubert Štoksa.
