Two days of a great aviation programme in the sky and on earth, a rich accompanying programme or a large family and children's zone. You can enjoy all this and even more in Záhorie region location on the last weekend before the start of the new school year. Representatives of the Air Force of the Czech Republic will show you the JAS – 39 Gripen aircraft and in solo and combined exhibitions also helicopters Mi-24, Mi-171 and W-3A Sokol.

 JAS-39 Gripen

The JAS-39 Gripen aircraft is a single-seater or two-seater, single-engine mid-wing monoplane with a simple delta wing, a fully convertible floating forewing with an arrow-type directional control surface and a three-wheel hydraulically retracted chassis. The chassis is adapted for a start and landing on shortened runways, including motorway sections and grassy areas. The machine is manufactured by the Swedish company Saab.

 Mi-24/35

Mi-24/35 is a combat helicopter designed to destroy armoured targets and directly support ground troops. Its cargo space can be used to transport up to 8 persons or 1500 kilograms of cargo, or to evacuate the injured. Thanks to its firepower and performance, the helicopter was even given the nickname "flying tank". 2500 machines - about so many Mil Mi-24 helicopters were manufactured in different versions, to this day they are used by 50 countries around the world.

 Mi-171

The Mi-171Š helicopter is one of  the latest  version of the Mi-8/Mi helicopter. This type is characterized by the use of powerful TV3-117VM engines with improved characteristics when transporting at high altitudes or in environments with high air temperature. There is a hydraulically tilted access ramp at the back of the helicopter. The access to the cargo cabin is enhanced by an extended door on the right flank. The helicopter has a more modern instrumentation, six outer hardpoints for a range of armaments and other improvements.

 W-3A Sokol

The twin-engine turbo-shaft multipurpose helicopter W-3A SOKOL is based on the design of the Mil Mi-2 HOPLITE helicopter. However, it differs from it mainly by its larger dimensions and more robust construction. The first prototype took off on 16 November 1979, the second prototype with many design improvements on 6 May 1982. Its production started in 1985. The helicopter is designed to carry a maximum of 12 persons or material up to 2200 kg and for air search and rescue services.
