Denmark and their „Hercules“!

24. May 2021 1 Aktuality

Invitation to IAD SIAF 2021 also went to Denmark and we are very happy to confirm that we will see them  100 percent in our "Malacky sky" in September...

Participation at the International Aviation Days will be really varied and is guaranteed to be taken care of by the Royal Danish Air Force, that will join us on 4-5. September 2021 with a C-130J Super Hercules tactical transport aircraft from the American manufacturer Lockheed Martin.

This aircraft, with a wingspan of more than 40 metres, guarantees that every visitor to SIAF will truly enjoy the experience. The C-130J Super Hercules is designed to transport both troops and light military vehicles. For the record, this aircraft can carry 92 soldiers with equipment, 64 paratroopers, 74 stretchers with patients, 6 pallets of cargo or the aforementioned 2 light military vehicles.

Just for comparison, the predecessor to the C-130J Super Hercules was the C-130, and unlike the C-130J, the C-130J has 40% more climb rate and 16% more range. This aircraft has a three-man crew on board, consisting of two pilots and an engineer who is responsible for the aircraft's cargo. And speaking of cargo, the C-130J Super Hercules is loaded and unloaded via a large rear folding ramp, which our visitors will certainly be able to see live at the beginning of September at Kuchyna Air Base.

The entire IAD SIAF 2021 team is already looking forward to hosting the Royal Danish Air Force in Slovakia, who will surely not disappoint their fans.
